Nail art: Could it be? In 3-D?

There have been a lot of 3D movies, 3D TV show specials heck they even have 3D limited edition cereal boxes but who knew that 3D can be right at your fingertips- literally. Prepare to be amazed boys and girls! Three-dimensional nails seems to be creating a lot of buzz in the nail art world because of the themed miniature masterpieces not only is an easy conversation starter but you can actually feel the texture of the nail design (looks like the a regular mani & pedi are soooo 2009). I first heard about 3D nail art from a co-worker of mine (apparently it is sort of a big deal in my home state of Virginia *Surprised*) but I have never seen such a creation until…I started Googling it! I found “how-to do it yourself” videos to blogs/websites that show this nail art craze. I could totally see Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Fergie, Katy Perry even Beyonce’ rocking a unique creation. I think 3D nails might just have Minx beat (sigh). The only thing I couldn’t find was the cost but usually if there is no obvious price listed you can assume it’s going to COST a pretty penny especially if you want it done right. Enjoy!

P.S. FYI…You will not need the dorky 3D glasses to view 3D nail art

P.P.S I just read a cool post about 3D nails by blogger Irresistible Icing! Don't forget to stop by!

  2. Can't decide if I like Nail Art yet! I admire it but I doubt I could pull that off in real life!

  3. I find it hard enough to function with just regular fake nails on (buttoning jeans is a total B). I cannot imagine trying to complete daily tasks (such as the one listed above) with 3D nail art on my fingertips! It is pretty cool though.

PS - thank you for stopping by my blog!

  6. I have to agree with you gals. They are fun to look at but I'm not sure if I will be able to master wearing them on a regular basis...I can only imagine the application it takes to fix those puppies...like what if chips, splits and shifts all at once? I really wish I knew the average cost of these things (sigh)
