Why do people CONTINUE lose their life for shoes?

I will never in my twenty-something years of life understand why people continue to endanger their life for a pair of shoes (brand(s) will remain nameless) .You all hear the stories all the time about someone either getting killed, robbed, shot, stabbed etc. over a pair of $200-something pair of shoes. I just don't get! What baffles me is that people will actually stand in line for hours and days just to have the latest and yet, they claim their broke five minutes later but will be BACK IN LINE AGAIN for the same stupid shoe. Where are the priorities? If people in this country invested more of their time,energy and money into important things then we would be much further along than we are now. It's really sad how people think. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with wanting nice things or even working hard for them IFyou have it but all I ask is that you have your priorities together. Don't let shoes come first over your life, it's not worth it. Don't let shoes come before your bills and other responsibilities! Don't let shoes be the reason why you NEVER go anywhere outside your zip code! Don't let shoes be the reason why you DON'T give back to your community and the world! This whole shoe pandemonium thing is just dumb and we have go to do better people THE END.
