Trend Alert: Paint 2014 Radiant Orchid

There is a new color coming into town in 2014 and it’s called Radiant Orchid. The creative minds of Pantone have selected this year’s color highlighting that it “blooms with confidence and magical warmth that intrigues the eye and sparks the imagination.” I absolutely love the color and it truly is a color that could work for anybody.

H&M wants your old clothing…No seriously…

According to a Reuter’s article, Hennes & Mauritz better known as H&M, will be launching a global clothing collection effort in February 2013.

The best part is they are taking any article of clothing, in any condition, by ANY label. Yup…that’s right! So you’re probably wondering what they’ll be doing with all of these clothes?

They’ll be donating it to a company called I:Collect, this company is specializes in reusing textiles in diverse ways. Read more about this exciting effort here.

Hats off to H&M for this exciting initiative! Who said going green can’t be fashionable?

VH1 Reality Star, Draya Michele launches new clothing line

Basketball Wives LA Reality Star, Draya Michele has become quite the fashion entrepreneur this year. She kicked off the year with the launch of her sultry swim line called “Mint Swim” and now, she launched her newest line called “Fine Ass Girls” this week.

The "Fine Ass Girls" line has been most recognized for it’s vibrant collection of beenies and cutt-off sweatshirts that adorn the name of her collection. Hints of leopard print have been included as well which I personally love! The line itself must be doing exceptionally well because on launch day, I was trying to catch a glimpse of the website but it looked like the site came crashing down with so much excitement from her loyal fans.

Neiman Marcus and Target Join Forces for Season

Twelve days of Christmas left! Still looking for great holiday gifts? In case you didn’t get the ‘memo,’ luxury clothing retailer, Neiman Marcus has joined forces with Target for the holidays to present 24 designers collections at an affordable price. I absolutely love Target and I love them even more when they team up with designers from the fashion world. I stopped by Target myself to view some of the collection and they have nice mixture of things.

Not only will you find stylish designer clothing for a reasonable price but they have bicycles, yoga mats, pet goodies, luggage, house ware items and more all crafted by notable designers such as Marc Jacobs, Jason Wu (he’s had a collection at Target before), Rag & Bone, Marchesa, Dianne von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta and more. Prices vary of course by the item but you can find something anywhere between $8-$150+--more items fall between $30-$70 which is a pretty good deal for designer items.

I'm super excited because three shades of green made the list (my favorite color by the way). ATTENTION all Target lovers, Jason Wu, reknowned fashion designer especially for his A-list clients like the First Lady of the United States, is bring a collection to store near you soon!!!!

I am so excited to get my hands on a couple (ok maybe a few pieces) of Jason Wu's collection. He is one of my favorite designer's of today and he is most certainly making a name for himself around the world (seriously, I'm typing this blog and I just saw his commerical on tv, yeah it's fate!). The collection will be hitting select Target stores on February 5th and don't worry, it will sold online too! It's the perfect timing too because if you are looking for something sweet and refined for a hot date on Valentine's Day, I'm sure he will have something for you. Well enough talking about it, see for yourself in this commercial...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song BUT I'm completely going bonkers over the fashion in this video. Let me tell you, Ms. Beyonce looks nothing short from flawless from head-to-toe in her latest single "Party" that is on her album "4." There is just something about the beat of this song that makes you think of old school block parties and the fasssshhhhhiooonnnn *finger snaps* will have you falling out(gasps). It's fresh, it's funky, it's hip, it's Beyonce! Enjoy!

TRENDING: Ferocious Feline Frames

We have all heard the saying "cat got your tongue" but what if the "cat's got your eyes?" Not literally, but in the fashion world today, cat eye glasses are adorning the eyes of many women because of their classic yet edgy shape. Cat Eye glasses or cat eye sunglasses are taking to the faces of fashionistas everywhere-Kourtney Kardashian, reality star of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" has been spotted rocking these feline frames, even her mother/"Momager" Kris Jenner! While they may be trending item on the fall MUST HAVE list, cat-eye glasses have actually been around since the "olden days." They were popular back in the 1950's and 1960's and now they have resurfaced with a huge excitement. Cat-eye glasses are the perfect accessory to add some personality to your look (especially a vintage pair)!


Style Fact: Actress and style icon, Audrey Hepburn wore cat-eye sunglasses in the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and boy were these glasses fierce *does two finger snaps and a wrist twist* !

Fall Fragrances: Taylor Swift, Shakira + Heidi Klum

I was reading the October issue of Cosmopolitan magazine the other day (one of my favorite magazines!) and I stumbled across the sample perfume advertisements for Grammy-award winning artists Taylor Swift, Shakira and super model/Project Runway host, Heidi Klum. It seems like you haven't made it in the entertainment business these days unless you have "bottled up" your personality, talents and appearance in a fragrance. So even if you never meet you favorite celebrity or celebrity crush, you can at least cuddle up to a bottle of their scent to feel a bit of closeness (just don't go crazy with it okay!). Here are my two scents about their fragrances (and NO, I'm not a perfume expert):

Taylor Swift's "Wonderstruck" perfume is AMAZING! By far my favorite out of three I sniffed out of the magazine. It's the first fragrance designed by this country-pop starlet and this tantalizing potion of smell good was actually inspired by one of her songs "Enchanted." It's floral, fruity and fresh. The fragrance will be hitting shelves in October.

Shakira's "S" perfume is nice! For her first fragrance, it's a clean composition of floral accents to round out a very settle but romantic perfume. While she is known for her spicy lyrics and sensual body movements, one whiff of this scent gives of a more "girl next door" vibe. It's simple but still sexy! Her bottle of "S" is out in stores now.

Heidi Klum's "Shine" perfume is elegant! It's more for the mature noses out there. It's rich in warm scents like vanilla and a more "woodsy" feel. While it didn't tickle my nose much, I know that it will be popular amongst other noses out there. It's definitely a great scent accessory for the fall. This is also Klum's first fragrance and it is already being sold now.

Kardashian KOLLECTION is almost here!

If you don't know, well let me be the first to say that the Kardashian Sisters are back at it again in taking over the fashion industry. Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian have been working tirelessly (I'm sure) in building on to their Kardashian empire (I wonder what's next after this!). In the past, they linked up with Bebe to have a miniature "kollection" but now they are taking Sears by storm. These kourageous fashionistas are preparing for their big launch in August and they have quite a big line coming out. From lingerie to shoes, handbags to clothes, these dolls will have you covered from head-to-toe in Kardashian flawlessness! The line plans to be "affordable for all ages" (according to Khloe K. blog) and with these hard times ahead in the economy, no one said your wardrobe has to sacrifice too! Nail ART: Got "Shattered?"

OPI (the nail polish gurus!) has out done themselves this time! I love nail art and the "Shattered" effect is taking mani's to a whole new level. One my friend actually was telling me about "Shattered" nail polish but who knew it was catching on like the latest trend on Twitter! Unfortunately, I am not an owner...yet but I am looking forward to jazzing up my nails this summer with this stuff!

"Simpson Sisters" teaming up in fashion???

According to the Ministry of Gossip (via LATimes.com), Jessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson maybe pulling together their creative juices to launch something fab for teen girls-a clothing collection! That's right! Ever since Jessica Simpson hit the shoe fashion scene (love her shoes...I own several!), she has high heeled her way to well respected brand and her company happens to be on the brink of being worth $1 billion dollars! So who says Oprah is the only one with the golden touch these days? And Jessica is not stopping at shoes, she and her sister plan on taking over clothes as well! I am rather interested to see how Jessica and Ashlee pull this collection off. I can definitely see Jessica designing the more "girl next-door" clothes and Ashlee designing more of an "edgy tom boy chic" clothes but it's a collection so that means it has to make sense together. This could be a bit tricky but their sisters so I know they will make it work! Good luck gals!

Top 10 Most Bizarre Fashion

After finding these "fishy flops" I decided to seek out more bizarre fashion items out there. Of course, I found something on YouTube so I just had to share. By far, the #1 bizarre fashion in this clip had me laughing so hard. The interesting thing about this video is that I noticed some of these "bizarre" fashion styles would actually be embraced as "eco" fashion now (this video looks ancient like it was made in the 90's or something lol). TREND ALERT: Are you a NUDIST?

Before you mind goes straying in the gutter, when I say "nudist" in this instance...I'm talking fashion. The colors nude, taupe, beige, neutral, tan...get the point yet? These natural hues have every girl going nude these days (down boys!). Believe me, it took me months to find the perfect pair of nude pumps and now that I got my paws on a pair, I don't ever want to let them go! A nude pump is must have because it's a basic color that could blend with just about any color palate and any design. It can be the perfect accent a rosy blush colors or even a mellow touch to more vibrant raspberry colors. There is not denying this shoe or color...so without further adieu say hello to my baby....
